Open Studio

Open Studio is a great option to explore new art techniques at a lower cost. We have multiple art supplies and ideas posted with out monthly mess for our hourly studio option. Each month for our instructed classes we explore a different art technique, called our Monthly Mess. Open Studio allows you to explore those projects as well. Check out our calendar to see what we are teaching this month!

Open Studio also has project options to choose from. This allows you to explore a technique that you saw on a social media or video. Projects include acrylic pouring, texture, canvas transfers and more options that rotate throughout the year.

Open Studio (Hourly Rates)

$18/hour per Artist

Open Studio is a way to come explore the inner artist and create some art. Open studio artists will have the opportunity to use Tempera Paint, tools, creative items and art supplies on 11×17 multi-media papers. Splatter is always a favorite! No pouring allowed with this option. Upgrades to Canvas and Panels are available in studio.

No instructions are given for open studio. Project examples are posted.

All Artists are responsible for cleaning up their space and rinsing their painted items. 

No child should be left unattended. 

Open studio is charged by the hour per artist. Each hour an artist receives 2 – 11×17 multi-media papers. Extra drawing paper is available.

No reservations are needed. Walk-in and sign under arrival time and pay upon leaving for the time spent. 20 Minutes past the hour will be rounded up to the next.

Acrylic Painting on Canvas

$22 Small or $25 Large Canvas

Choose a size canvas and let your imagination go wild. Use Acrylic paints, tools and the studio’s art supplies to create something one of a kind. Second canvas for the same person is 50% off. Includes a take-home box.

No reservations are needed.

Optional canvas projects are only available during open studio.

Transfer and Acrylic Painting on Canvas

$23 Small or $28 Large Canvas

Choose between a large or small canvas. Then choose your template from rotating designs. Use a carbon transfer paper to then trace the design onto the canvas. Use Acrylic paints, Acrylic markers, colored pencils, and other studio art supplies to create your masterpiece. Includes a take-home box.

This option is perfect for an adult or older child looking for more direction for a project to do. Second Canvas for same person is 50% off.

Acrylic Pouring on Small Canvas

$30 Small Canvas

Our most popular art experience now available during Open Studio Time. Learn the technique of fluid art and try doing your own masterpiece. Includes a take-home box. Sheet of directions are given and an Artist is available for questions. 

Any child under the age of 10 should do with an adult. 

No reservations are needed.

Texture Painting

$25 Small

Use a mixture of compound medium or texture paste with art tools and optional paint to create a textured painting of your own. Take-home box included. 50% off a second canvas for same person.

Directional sheet is given and an artist is available for questions.

Pendulum Canvas

$30 Large only

Use acrylic paint to create a background. Mix up paint and pour medium to create a fluid paint before using the pendulum setup to create something really cool. Take-home box included. 50% off a second canvas for same person.
