Mess Hall Arts is a art studio that specializes in unconventional art. We offer Summer Camps, public classes, private events, birthday parties, field trips, scout badges, 1 day camps during school year and holidays, corporate team building events, 21+ events and MORE!
Mess Hall Arts has events for ages 1-110 year olds! We cater to the ages and abilities of everyone that walks in to our studio.
Our Messy Monster classes are designed for ages 2-6. Our Messy Artist classes are for ages 6-12. We customize our private events to cater to all ages. Our Summer Art Camps are developed for 6-12 year olds. We even have Senior Classes!
Our birthday parties are a ton of fun and we don’t just say that, we know it! No matter what package you choose the party starts in the front “celebration room”. As participants arrive they will be prompted to sign/decorate the birthday child’s Mess Hall Arts Shirt while the parents check in their child and make sure a waiver is signed. The Parent Host may arrive up to 15 minutes before the event start time to put any decorations up in the front area.
Once the group is there to the kids will be prompted to find an apron and head to the studio. There will be 2 Messy Artists to lead and help guide the art projects for 1 hour. Parents of the kids are welcome to stay but we encourage drop off as the front space can get cramped. *The younger age group (under 5) we expect those parents prefer to stay. After the hour of art we send the kids to wash hands, remove aprons and head to the celebration space. You may bring in food/snacks and cake for the celebration. Many parents choose pizza delivery. Make sure to bring in any plates and utensils needed. The Messy Artists will clean, organize and pack all the art done during the party so when kids are leaving they can grab their items easily.
Rescheduling more than 72 hours in advance of your scheduled experience is free of charge.
Changes to guest count made less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled experience will be charged to the final bill of the event.
Rescheduling less than 72 hours in advance of your event will result in a $100 rebooking fee.
No Shows.
If your entire party, a portion of your party, or an individual guest in a party do not show up to their experience, they will not receive a refund and do not have the option to reschedule. Calling in during or after the scheduled experience are considered no shows.
These situations are never fun but please know the policy is in place because we are a small business that runs by appointment only. We must staff each experience based on advanced booking reservations. We cater to the experience prior to our guests arrival which includes preparing the studio, mixing paint, setting up stations, tools and supplies for each scheduled guest. We have limited staff so last minute changes and cancellations are costly to our small business. We appreciate your understanding.
YES, of course you should come. You don’t need any experience to come have fun or learn something new! Our Messy Artists are there to teach you and help you with any questions or tips to help you walk out with something you are really proud of.
Depending on your event you can expect to arrive and be welcomed by one of our Messy Artists. We have child and adult aprons, shoe booties and ponchos. Once all guests are checked in and waivers have been signed the fun can begin.
Your party will then be brought back to the studio where your event is set up for your group. The messy art team will lead you through techniques, tools and help you finish your masterpieces.
If you have a birthday party our messy art team will lead 1 hour of art with the group and then the last 30 minutes are for your celebration.
For any birthday party packages and classes for kids under 10 we use all washable tempera paints.
All pours use water based acrylic paint. This paint will wash off skin after a couple washes but CAN stain clothing.
We always suggest to dress for MESS. Any paint can stain but we do our best to provide clothing coverings and the use of washable paints for kid activities.
