Elements of Art: This class is a must for all artists. Elements of art are the visual components that artists use to create a masterpiece; line, shape, form, space, texture, color, and value. We will learn about and go in depth to learn about all 7 elements of art and then use the techniques to create masterpieces.
Famous Art Movements 1– there are 9 influential art movements in history. Our projects during this camp will include impressionism, cubism, expressionism, and pointillism.
Is It… Art? Realistic Art: Hyperrealism is a genre of painting and sculpture resembling a high-resolution photograph. The hyperrealist style focuses much more of its emphasis on details and the subject. In this camp we will make use 3D Foam to create various pieces and you can decide….is it art? Is it a cake? Is it a succulent? Is it treats?
Comic Art Comic Book Art or Sequential Art is a style of art using panels and speech bubbles to tell a story. In this camp we will create a full comic with character development, story lines, page layouts and pop art. We will also explore flip books and make our own.
3D Art: 3D art takes up three-dimensional space and is viewable from many angles. We will learn about famous sculpture artists and create 3D art with spray foam, foam sheet creations, and bring animals to life.
Art in the Kitchen– Cake, Cookies, Cupcakes and more! In this camp you can expect to learn artistic techniques to decorate sweet and treats. Plan to play with piping bags, tips, fondant and tools on edible canvases. (no baking will be done in this class)
2 Dimensional & Illusions: 2D art is a visual art form that exists in two dimensions, or width and height, and is represented on a flat surface. We will create 2D art on canvas, diorama boxes and illusion art during the week of camp.
Drawing & Doodles– Are you a fan of Mr. Doodle, Sam Cox? We will spend this camp doodling like Mr. Doodle! We will study drawing basics of shading, tone and figures. We will learn about perspectives and pop art and even graffiti.
Games & More: Are you or your family fans of game night? Maybe you are learning chess or love winning at candy land. During this camp we will spend the week creating your own board game. We will create the board itself, characters (pieces), theme and rules. You will finish the week with your own new board game.
Slime & Sensory– In this camp we will expand beyond the simple glue slime. We will create various slimes with the multiple options for add ins and experimenting. However we wont just make slime we will use slime in many ways! We will create slime art, statues, sun catchers and more!
Famous Art Movements 2– there are 9 influential art movements in history. Our projects during this camp will include Abstract expressionism, dadaism, surrealism and pop art.
Crafters Dream House– In this camp, we will create our own village of wooden dream houses. Each artist will build their very own dream house. Plan to paint, construct, wallpaper, design rooms and create add-ins.
Metal & Leather Working: Art isn’t just paper and canvas. Metal and leather is a dynamic ever-evolving form of artistic expression. In this camp we will use multiple types of metals and leathers to create various art. Plan to create jewelry and various bag/pouches using, stamping, paint, special tools and more.
Kinetic Art– Kinetic art is any art with movement or the portrayal of movement. In this camp we will work to create sculptures, balancing mobiles, collages and marionette puppets. We will also challenge each artist to make a car and a boat. Does it float? Is it Fast? We will see…
Fairy, Gnomes & Gardens: Art isn’t just for indoors. In this camp we will explore the outdoor world around us. We will create art that can be placed in gardens, yards and even art that creates beautiful sound.

Fluid & Water Art- Fluid art is unpredictable and a ton of fun! In this camp we will explore art in many forms. Plan to get messy because we will be doing a paint pouring project, tye-dye 2 ways, bubble art, pendulum paintings and MORE.

Junk Journals & Mixed Media: Mixed media art is artwork which uses various materials are used. During this camp, we will make journals, collages and other art with various materials.
Art Games & Challenges– Sometimes you just want to be goofy with art! In this camp, art will be all fun and games. We will design a puzzle, paint with our feet, paint a friend, use different utensils to create art and more! Are you up for a fun art challenge?
Edible Art: Nail it version- This camp makes canvas a thing of the past. We think art should be anything we want. So this weeks camp we take plates, cakes, cookies and more and try to nail it…like the show. And yes we will have a peer vote and present winners. Plan to use simple ingredients to create masterpieces, fondant and frosting to make sweet designs.
State Fair Favs– The great Minnesota get together is almost here! Blue Ribbon Pies, The Perfect Apple, and of course the famous food on a stick! In this camp we will create the best of the best! Learn how to use plaster and foam pieces to create realistic works of art. Who’s ready for sweet corn and corn dogs?
State Fair Fun: Rides, games, and everything that makes the Fair the Fun! Oh My! In this camp we will create our own State Fair Gallery. Campers will create their own miniature ride, “butter” sculpture, and celebrate Minnesota’s History with Art!
